Here’s a simple cream cheese frosting flavored by grappa.
- 2 bars (one pound) American (full-fat) cream cheese
- 1 stick (.25 pound) butter
- 2 tablespoons grappa
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- .25 teaspoon salt
- 5 cups (600 grams) confectioner’s sugar
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth. If frosting is too dry, add drops of milk; if too wet, add spoonfuls of confectioners sugar. Beat throughly after each addition.
